Why Marathon, TX? Because of Anne Carter, Kara’s Nana, who has been part of this town for over 20 years. Grandpa John left a beautiful legacy in the home he built from the ground up. Their adventurous, full-of-life spirit makes celebrating our big day here incredibly special. We are so grateful to everyone traveling far to join us. Sharing this day with you fills us with so much joy and love. And to those who couldn’t make it, your kind words and congratulations mean the world. We can’t wait to see you in Marathon, TX!

Our Recommendations

All flights to Midland connect through Dallas or other airports. We've found that it is easier and less expensive to fly into ELP or SAT and drive to Marathon.

Gage Gardens - 27 acre garden is free and open daily. It has a mini golf drive, beautiful native landscaping, a pond, a rose garden, and a dedicated dog park. Explore town of Marfa - less than 1 hour away, a small, artsy town with galleries, shops, and local sights. Explore Big Bend - just 2 hours away, explore the magic of Big Bend National Park (check park hours and construction updates). Explore Marathon for the day!
